AMCA Toronto invites its members and community at large to a lecture Stem Cells: Health, Disease, and Therapy by Dr. Stanimir Vuk-Pavlovic, professor and a former director of Stem Cell Laboratory at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota, on April 8, 2016 at 7:45 pm at the Faculty Club of U of T, 41 Willcocks St in Toronto.
Vuk, a recipient of the Order of Danica hrvatska and an early affiliate of AMCA movement, during the Homeland War initiated and organized the support to the Croatian and Bosnian medical systems, valued in excess of US$25 million, through AmeriCares. As a part of his lecture he will also reflect on the role of Toronto Croatian community in that effort.
After the lecture we all go to the Pub of the Faculty Club, which will be open only for our members and guests, where we will continue the discussion in a less formal setting over a glass of wine or beer.
Tickets include admission to the lecture, coffee or tea, hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine or beer after the lecture.
Registration is MANDATORY at lectureseries@amcatoronto.com
