AMCA Toronto Lecture Series 2015: JOSIP NOVAKOVICH – November 20, 2015

Dear colleagues and friends,

AMCA Toronto invites its members and the community at large to an evening with one of the best known Croatian writers in North America, a winner of many literary awards and a professor at Concordia University, Josip Novakovich, on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 7:45 pm, at Baka Gallery Cafe, 2256 Bloor Street West, Toronto.

Josip will read excerpts from his stories collected in Ex-YU, and he will talk on the Croatian identity in the post-Yugoslav era. To learn more about Josip Novakovich and for the abstract, please see the attachment. The reading and speech will be in English and conversation with the writer in both, English and Croatian.

Admission, which will includes hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine or beer after the lecture, is $15 for members of AMCA Toronto with paid membership fee for the current year, and $25 for others. For students, admission to the lecture will be free. Before the lecture, coffee and tea will be served. For more information, please see the attachments.
