AMCA Toronto invites its members and the community at large to an evening with an AMCA Toronto member Hrvoje Fabek, a post-doctoral fellow working in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 7:45 pm, at the Faculty Club of U of T, 41 Willcocks Street, Toronto.

Hrvoje will talk about the discipline of Food Science and inform us on how food scientists today are contributing to increasing our knowledge, availability and safety of food products. To learn more about Dr. Fabek and for the abstract, please see the attachment. The lecture will be in English.

Admission, which will include hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine or beer, is $15 for members of AMCA Toronto with paid membership fee for the current year, and $25 for others. (For your information the tickets cover only food and drinks, while the costs of the lecture and premises are borne by AMCA Toronto). For students, admission to the lecture will be free. Before the lecture, coffee and tea will be served. After the lecture, everybody is invited to mingle in the Pub of the Faculty Club which will be open only for us.
